About the Role
The Staff Tax Accountant will play a key role in the accounting team with responsibilities including U.S. and Canada tax compliance, tax accounting, and financial report review and evaluation.
What You'll Be Doing
Prepares month-end reports and assists with month-end close processes.
Prepares general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
Prepares the work papers, supporting schedules and returns for required sales tax and VAT tax returns.
Assists in responding to enquiries from tax authorities including assisting with protests and appeals.
Qualifications
What You'll Need for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or related field or years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong PC skills - Accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word are required.
0-3 years related public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
The successful candidate will have a professional, positive attitude and guide by example.
